Any deli counter located within a supermarket, needs a white-board where rules can be written about "deli counter processes." Right now most deli's and meat counters seem to be running an age-based consumer platform. That means that even if are first to roll up to the deli counter to get yourself some of those very appetizing twice-baked potatoes behind the glass, some 80 year old lady who shows up five minutes later will be helped first, if the clerk running the counter wasn't there to witness your arrival.
Now I know what you are saying, she's an old lady. But let's keep a couple things in mind. First off, who is more likely to argue with the clerk about the meat department's lack of miscellaneous turkey necks? And who is more likely to just ask for two twice-baked potatoes and go on his merry way? It's complete anarchy...that's all I am saying. Slightly like the free cookie plate in the supermarket bakery.
